The brains behind the design
Some say that Sean Moroni was born with a hammer in his hand. He honed his craft building large custom homes all over the state of Oregon, as well as a few in Idaho and Washington. Motivated by the satisfaction of creating something brand new and inspired by the ever-changing innovation of design in the industry, Sean is a passionate student of life and takes every opportunity to learn and grow. Sean came to the tiny house movement looking for solutions to economic and environmental problems and was excited to find them in spades.
“Tiny homes make the pride of homeownership accessible to so many, which is good for individuals and the communities they live in,” says Sean. “Tiny houses also fight material consumerism and waste in a big way. The waste created in the building process of a tiny home is a fraction of that created by a standard-sized home.” Sean is the person who will order the one thing on the menu no one else will try; he believes life is all about adventure. He is also a proud father who works hard to show his two beautiful children how tiny homes are providing a creative solution to a variety of economic, social and environmental problems caused by the standard housing market. He is excited to see SO Tiny Homes create opportunities for generations to come.
Owner, Chief Operating Officer
Organizer, efficiency expert, project boss extraordinaire
In addition to working closely with Sean on the design of each custom home, Cole is the one we have to thank for turning an empty warehouse into the amazing workshop we call home. We knew he was serious from the moment he first knocked down the fence behind his house to make room in the alley, where we built our first two tiny homes. Ever since, Cole has been working diligently behind the scenes to ensure that our operation runs with precision and every customer gets the home of their dreams. He oversees all subcontractor work including plumbing and electrical to ensure superior quality, as well as the final certification and inspection process. Cole Smith does it all and so much more with a smile.
His experience as onsite superintendent for a large company in Texas as well as his years spent in commercial remodels, construction, cabinet building, and installation make Cole the perfect person to see each SO Tiny Home through to stunning completion. When he’s not in the shop, Cole loves to camp and hang out with his wife Amanda and son Landon.
According to Cole, “Buying a house is a really big decision and lots of people are shut out of the market completely. The affordability and versatility of tiny homes offers stability to homeowners—you don’t have to panic when life takes an unexpected turn.”
SO Tiny Homes - good for the soul, good for the community, and good for the planet.
